(4.) Jesus - What was Jesus’ position on scripture? (MT 4:4, Mt 22:29, Jn 17:17)
(5.) Apostles - What did the Apostle’s have to say about the scriptures and their relationship to them? (Jn 16:13, Jn 21:24, 2 Peter 1:16-20, 2 Tim 2:15, 2 Cor 6:7, Eph 1:13, Col 1:5, 2 Tim 3:16 - James 1:18)
(6.) How is the Bible commonly attacked today?
Two primary ways:
It’s not God’s Word (Gen 3)
Radical new ways of interpretation
(poor hermeneutics)
(7.) Review:
- Stick with the Bible
- Rest all upon it, test all by it (Isa 8:20)
- Be grounded in it, believe every word
Be highly suspicious of radical new interpretations
